or can anyone tell me how to do firmware update even

 

Go to this link and start from the top of page, tutorial How To and description of leads required - before proceeding you will have to recognise what box you have i.e. Red/Blue or MaxV Black.

You need to update the firmware read Malci's link above.

did a flash on red box cant retune box not picking up any tps tried everything deleted all data before trying power scan again any ideas

heya guys.compleate newbie!question..got the new firmware(ufl max v 18-04-08) for euro-vox maxV black 2008 and i un ziped it!made sure i got the proper serial null modem cable, followed instruction but in instructions when downloading whilst connected to the pc, rather than saying ver.2.10 detected,it just keeps flashing between com1 and com3!then i press start anyways it says reciver was not detected!left it a few times to see if it connects at all but,nothing!
any ideas, tried lookin for a troubleshoot thingy,but couldnt find one!
any ideas?cheers much appreciated! i made sure my connections are secure and have connected and reconnected, on and off... etc etc.cheers!

Can anyone help I think I have messed up big time.
I tried to reload the codes for eurovox max and was told to clear channels and go to factory settings.
Every channel has been wiped. I have tried to powerscan and the box runs through the 770 channels but when it gets to the end nothing is there on the box. The box just reads 0000 and won't budge.

Please help.

Are you using a USB adaptor with the Null Modem cable or directly connected to the PC?

Seems like the ports could be a problem.
