    Hi,
Yes could you please post them here.Do you need the basic connection to Chorus because I know someone in Cork who was with C in Cork years ago and the cable in their house is still "live" and they now have a Eurovox on it.In Galway you need the basic connection.

ok guys new question... i got virg#n m#dia...and i am thinking of ending my service with them altogether as i only use their broadband and phone... i use to have the tv as well, but i got sky...the box virg#n installed has two cable connections.. one is used for phone and broadband..the other for tv which is not being used cause i don thave their tv service..now if i get eurovox... do an auto scan, get all the channels... call v-media...cancel my broadband and phone...will i still get all the channels???

Simple answer is yes - you will jude - as long as you have broadband you will get all the channels available through the broadband set up alone.

Sorry jude - mis-read your post, you will get the channels only if they leave an active feed in to your house ie. broadband, it is possible that they will leave it anyway, but it could be cut off and re-routed elsewhere - if you want to discontinue all their services you will have to take a chance, but why not keep broadband and stop everything else ?????? this way you are sure.

I'm not from navan(thanks be to jesus),but, navan bleedin man, is wrecking me head cos he cant get his eurovox max v 08 to work down there, or up there, where ever navan is. Everything he tried has failed.Hes told me he has c-itoris cable comin in. So, can anyone tell me, is navan man gonna get his eorovox up and runnin or not? or, should i just give him his money back and stick the unit in the dog kennell and let my Bud watch The Animal Planet all day and night. Ill take 190euro for it.

Morning all, i just got myself a eurovox 2007 edition a couple of days ago preset(s/w jan25 07, H/W Ver 2.0). I was having trouble getting a signal so tried a few different cables from the N.L signal point to my unit but made no difference. Did a factory default setup and ended up having to manually input 8 of the 13 freq's. The unit looks to work fine in a friends house closeby (Dublin City center) but the channels come in all pixelated when attached in mine.
On the installation menu across all the freq's that i select the quality signal is up in the 80's but then drops to single digits and then goes back up again for a few secs and so on.
I reckon my signal being supplied is at fault.Any thoughts on how to improve it short of calling N.L and there rapid response unit.
I have taken DVD recorders and cable splitters out of the equation to try and improve the signal but still no joy.
    All responses welcome.
    Cheers,
    Tom

I suspect that box is a clone.Did it come in a blue box and was it dirt cheap?

No wasn't cheap i'm afraid and a couple of other members of my family have got the units off the same guy and their's are working fine. They've never even had to retune theirs since they got them over 6 months ago, it does it automatically for them if n.l do change freq.
I'm going to borrow one of their units and see if it gives the same trouble in my place. But tanx anyway......... it may still be a clone and they got lucky.
PS Anyway of knowing if it's a clone, is it stamped clone underneath :)
