thanks for the reply scouser it is the maxv but i dont have the cable at the moment my m8 has it il get it off him ive Dloaded the 10 4 08 firmware ready but i wanted to know if it was a FW problem or a box 1

 

18/04/08 firmware is better than the 10/04/08 one. Could be a cable problem, but better off reflashing first to rule out a firmware problem.

BTW you cannot give out code info here anymore.......thems the rules

 

sry it was the 18 4 08 FW ive just put it on now but im not getting as many channels now about 50 odd so i dont know what to do next

 

SCOUSER i looked at your CDF files and i downloaded the 28 4 08 FW cause i was having the 8% problem and also was not getting any channels but now with the 28 4 08 FW my signal is 97% and im still not getting any TPs at all now so any help or is my box broke now

 

My CDF is only for N** Dublin, where are you and who is your provider. Dont worry your box is not broke.

 

sry i just seen the 28 4 08 FW and thought i was an upgrade of the 18 FW i live in toxteth and on the telepest now VM ive just scanned again and got 18 TPs the lowest is 283on 6 952 ive only been getting 6 or 7 the last hour but also it says my signal strengh is 87% upwards on the channel but most of them are breaking up

 

Have you reverted back to 18/04/08?

 

yer i was going to do that now the channels didnt break up on that scan but still missing half the TPs

 

Try it and tell me what the signal level is like on the TPs you get. BTW make sure you do a factory reset after flashing and also make sure you do a powerscan from the direct feed.

 

i just got 22 TPs off the 28 4 08 so im missing twelve so far and some of the channels have got no names but the signal strengh is in the red with that FW

 

Signal strength is in the red with the 18/04/08 firmware. I need to know this as I have seen this problem before when updating from the October firmware.

 

im getting 8% signal off my TPs`and off 21 TPs i just got im only getting 43 channels. but what do you mean by direct feed

 

Yes but what firmware do you have on the box right now, is it the 28/04/08 or 18/04/08 as I asked you to revert to this?

Direct feed means just that directly from where you incoming feed comes in, i.e. no splitter.

 

and also its not giving me the channels that are in the low TPs that its found

 

If you dont answer my questions its hard for me to help.

 

sry i thought i mentioned that i went back to the 18 4 08 FW .but ive just done a few scans off the main feed and its only giving me 27 TPs and around 125 channels and nearly all of them have no name and some of them are breaking up

 

Is you signal level quite high when you check the TPs, have you tried turning the signal booster on and off?

 

no there 8% red when ive changed the signal booster a couple of times but am only getting 18 TPs off the splitter now

 

its strange how all of a sudden im not getting as many TPs and channels off the splitter as i got the box last september and didnt really have any problems till the weekend
