Last thing to try for tonight as I am heading to bed. Here is a CDF for St Helens TW, (As near as I have for you). Press menu, config, clear data, clear channel data, press OK.

Download CDF to your box and see what this gets you.

snd m8 thanks i checked my cables there fine even though im getting more TPs off a direct feed but i will try that CDF file 5 hours ive been at this for now . i will let you know wether its worked or ive thrown my box out the window

 

im still stuck with the same problem only getting 19 TPs now with around 50 channels

 

Sounds like a CC issue although havent seen many people from Liverpool saying they have lost service, although a few people throughout the UK did yesterday for obvious reasons.

When you first decided to flash was it because as you said you started to loose channels on the weekend.

 

i was thinking that maybe if i download an earlier FW i.e the march one that it might be better for scanning even though i would have to put the update codes in myself do yer reckon that would be any good

 

yes it was the picture was breaking up on a couple of channels but b4 then i only lost a couple of channels now and again but 1 or 2 rescans fixed that for me this was all before the weekend

 

Could try reverting back to your original firmware and see what the outcome is.

were can i find 15 10 07 FW as ive looked in your files and its not there

yer i found the file before i just typed it in . but on my old FW 15 10 07 im still only getting 19 TPs and with 150 channels which is more channels than what i was getting with the new FW but some of the main channels are missing.but what is a CC issue anyway

 

CC is cable company. If you go into menu, installation, user installation, what signal levels are you getting of each TP. First with booster on and then with booster off.

 

il have to put the new FW on to get the signal booster as its not on the 15 10 07 FW il try it now

 

Will do with the firmware you have just tell me the TP signal levels for now.

 

with the 18 04 08 FW without boost is was anything up to 30% red and with boost its 93$ im getting 27 TPs with the boost on but its missing a couple in the mid 300s and a couple in the 500s plus some channels have no names on them

You must be at the end of your keyboard waiting Yep you can get them at Maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=965&C=SO for a fiver. They do a 6 or 12Db either should do but try the 12Db one as a preference.

You attach this to the main feed and then into your box. Do a factory reset and rescan. Remember to turn booster on before rescan also.

 

should i try and get a 9db instead of a 12db or will a 12db be better for me .just cause i know a couple of shops i can go too.to try and get a 9db

 

Either will do not much in attenuation difference.
