Eurovox max security

You need to change the no name line item in the Nagra screen. And I did say just to give it a try. Also input the provider ID 5E 01, along with the codes and symbol rate.

 

I just received my eurovox max-v and I have a couple of questions, my box is already flashed to the latest firmware.

is it a simple a process as plugging it in and then doing a scan to find channels on cho**s?

Do I have to change any frequency settings before I do a scan?

 

Trouble was when I entered 1968 twice there was no Nagra screen or Nagrvision. There were other options but not this.

Also when I tried the factory reset there were only two options one for 6952 and one for 6887 (no 6857). Which one should I choose?

You will need to enter the symbol rate 6875 for ch****

below are a list of 13 Freq's that it should find ,
It may skip one or two of the freq's below ,if you does it is a simple step of entering it and doing a manual scan ,

to add these freq's you need to
go to installation
green button for ch edit
red button add channel
enter freq and symbol rate 6875
press ok, then repeat these steps till all freqs added. when they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu. press the red button for auto scan. will do a scan an all the freqs entered and should hopefully give you 138 channels.

I think EPG is very good on Eurovox.Is it the latest software you have?

 

is the latest firmware 02/07/07?


And don't get me wrong I like the EPG layout but it does not update properly

i.e. on some channels I might get "now and next listing" but on others I only get just "whats on now" and other no program listings at all.

Yes that should be fine. And no they cannot see the extra box as it has no talkback function for obvious reasons and only receives signals.

 

hi do you use gtrom loader to d.l new sw to euro 2008 or is there another loader

 

You can use dnupman or voxer as per the other Eurovox versions.

 

just had euro vox v3 in a blue box what firmware does it need and can it be cloned from anoher box.

If you have only received this box I would be quite weary. A lot of these blue boxes have been cloned. If you look into the grills on the top of the box and see a ribbon cable it is a genuine box. If you see a load of individual white cables it is a clone.

All I can say is to load the Feb version of firmware to your Eurovox as this is safe for both type of boxes. All info,firmware and loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library.

got the black 2008 box for a mate scanned it seemed ok but now its saying no signal and codes updating then picture for afew mins then no signal and also pixelating he tried his s/v on same cable thats working great any clues
