didnt want to start a new thread for this but i cant seem to be able to update my eurovox with the 6/9/07 update...
it says that the firmware is not fit for my receiver...
im pretty sure that it is a black box

I think your problem is the fact that your box already has already been flashed and the patch will not load to your box as it is the same H/W version.

 

atleast that sounds like a good thing...

i had problems with it before so they must have updated it when i sent it back to the new version

 

Yep but it is still does not look like the critical update as it should have a September timestamp on it, as said I have seen this happen on a few people's attempt to upgrade from June firmware to the September update. So fingers crossed.

Yes you can but it will essentially turn it into a red box. I have the black tsop on test at the moment and will post it in a day or two.

 

Hey guys, just a quick question, if i have recieved a CLONE Eurovox Max black box, what is the main difference between original and clone and do clones have a certain lifespan? Any help will be greatly appreciated! OK, gotta have lunch! Thanks again.

 

There are no cloned Max Vs yet.

 

Hi scouser sorry for being so stupid but what do you by mean by tsop.

No problem not a stupid question at all a tsop is used to flash the boxes original bios and bring it back to life as such.

 

Top Man sc0user and you are working on the tsop to reflash and bring back fallen black boxes.any idea what tsop is short for wrecking my head.cheers again.

 

As definitions go tsop means, Thin Small Outline Package - a common plastic package for IC's, particularly memory.

Scouser i am talking about EuroVox Max 2008 box. I am certain that they have been cloned, as i have seen pics. So if i have recieved a Eurovox max 2008 clone. What is the difference between original and how long is the lifespan? Any help much appreciated, Thanks again!

 

Eurovox max 2006 (Blue) and 2007 (Red) have been cloned the reason the Max V (2008) was brought out was to combat the cloners. The pictures you have seen belong to the already cloned boxes, (2006 & 2007). And as I stated earlier the 2008 has not been cloned yet

 

hey sorry to bother you again sc0user but today the picture from my box (black max08) has got very poor,
gets choppy pixelated and says no signal...then the odd time it will try to update the code but no improvement
this happens consistently i get a short time of normal video before it starts again...any ideas...im doing a new scan for channels as we speak?
there anything i can do to fix it?

 

finished the scan there most channels display no picture and no sound and it displays no signal but i have the channel name etc, and it says that the signal strength(level/quality) is good, am going to try update it again though it should still be where it was yesterday as regard to version as yesterday when it seemed to work.
any ideas how to fix this

I have the eurovox max v and only got it 3weeks ago. had 140 channnels but it started losing channels, then it said channel not available, I have done auto scan and power scan and now it says no signal. How do I fix this?

 

i personally think that your connection must be dead. Or have you checked that all the connections are fully connectod. Might be a loose connection or the cable company may off turned off your connection. What service provider are you with?
