If you open it up you will see a 48 pin chipset beside the large chip it will have the manufactuers name on it. There are different methods for different chipsets thats why I have to ask this.

No problem you said you had a 2007 box. The set will arrive with instructions and flash firmware you require. Any problems just shout.

Should say September 6th on the date stamp of the firmware if they have it.

Yeah, i think it said 28 June or something else along that name! Guess i need to tell him about the new update. I also noticed that when went to the menu, the heading were not highlighted in yellow as my one is. I asked how long he had it, and he said 1 1/2 months without any problems. It hasn't died or anthing.

I would advise them to flash it with the September unified firmware. You will also notice that the HW revision reverts from 2.1 to 2.0 after you have loaded the September patch. Strange I know :)

Exactly as scouser has pointed out.
All Eurovox max V should be flashed with the new firmware A.S.A.P.
The box will more than likely encounter problems of some sort and by then it may be too late .....

Do you have to add them all back manually & has VM done something or changed the frequencies to cause the boxes to go off???
