This also happened to me and a lot of other people have reported losing some tp locks.

I reflashed with the September update. But then I took a channel dump file from my box, reflashed it again with the October firmware still had channels missing again. So I then downloaded my channel dump file to the box and all was well.

 

Ok, Thanks Scouser. Looks i'll just stick with the September update.

 

yeah i did the channel dump using voxer , cleared all channels from the box (sep update) , updated with oct update the put the channel dump back on and i am getting all channels just that they are all pixelated so went back to sep update and all is well.
just a few minor bugs me thinks. this will probably be really good for some people . must say that the update looks a lot better just wish i could use it .but hey never mind maybe next time

when you upgrade to oct update and then put the channle dump on and then change the Fq by 500 Hz either side of the Fq that it is on of the affected channels this works on some channels but not all of them i have been trying to do this for the last 2-3 hours but no luck but hey the Sep update still works so i will leave it on Sep until i have to update

 

have finally managed it with a little bit of time.
first had to get the Fq fro the new upgrade
then the Fq from Sep upgrade and channel dumped
cleared all channels
upgraded to Oct
then channel dumped back to box with new upgrade on and put the Fq from the first part that were affected and hey presto all channels in and working
MuTV was on 515.000 and this in turn brings in other channels and moved some up 500 Mhz on certain ones and all looking good make sure when you change the Fq that the SR stays ths same as some of mine changed to something else when doing this manually
if this helps one person then all my efforts have been worth it

do i need to update any firmware etc. on this. i have 140 channels at the moment but no itv2 or itv3 any help would be great

 

there is an update from march, I think its the latest

make sure its not a clone !

 

thanks mainamn, i don't think its a clone but how do i check for sure i'm saying its a red box because it came in a red box, sorry if that sounds stupid

 

no worries, ( you are right to call it red)

quick way of checking is to look at the top and on the bottom left see ( in between the slots) if there are any green modules ( any thing green)

 

Main sorry for cutting in the latest one for the Red is October but as you said anything from the June firmware onwards will kill a clone. All new firmware for Blue, Red and Black are UFLs.

Evening lads, i just got a friend of myn to put his box on to check if it powered up, as he has left it until he can fit it. According to him all it says on the display is 54 cd or 54 ca. What is 54cd and 54 cd? He has the latest 2008 black box. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Well he is not very good with technical things. All he has done is bought it and only just powered up today, whether he is drunk and cannot read i do not know! All i know is that it hasn't got the september critical update.

 

He needs to flash it with the October update, if hes drunk and cant read tell him to leave well enough alone until tomorrow

 

Will do Sc0user mate. The annoying thing is that he didn't had NTHELL connection allready in his house, now having to wait long time. Very frustrating!

 

If he dosent have the critical update ( as scouser has said )
It could have knackered up the box !
That is the reason the critical update was released...
his seller should have pointed out this fact.
Only go with reputed dealers !

MAINMAN, i honoustly aint got a clue where he got it from, or who he got it from. I told him that i could get him one, but he didn't listen and he may of payed the price. We shall see what happens.
