I was getting this for the last few days on my eurovox 2008, then this evening while changing channels it popped up a message about returning to the supplier and not trying to fix it myself. It then switched off and wont display anything more than 2 dots on the front of it (no picture any more). I dont think its a clone and i hadnt flashed it before now. I tried to flash it but it cant be detected.

 

Did you try copletely clearing all the data on the box and reflashing it with the kuro image

 

had that problem myself.u need to jtag ur box.

 

This is getting confusing lads if you are talking about Clares problem it is purely an attenuation problem, the other members problem as stated earlier can be solved by returning it to their supplier or a jtag.

My fault too, i should have posted in a different thread really i suppose. I just thought that the symptoms mentioned were similar to what I experienced before the dots of death, but it seems it was merely a coincidence.

I have arranged to send it back to the guy i bought it from anyway who will repair/replace it. Bit of a pain, but what can you do.

Scoucer Any way besides jtag to stop the freezing and noises coming from the box..?

 

Its not the boxes ogg, it is N** carrying out some work it has been going on for nearly two weeks now even subbed, (their own boxes), are been affected. It should settle down soon.

hey guys this may sound a bit wierd given the choice of channels out there, but theres 2 I can't find that i've been searching for and would appreciate any advice, the 1st is aljazeera cos it does some good news coverage and the second is SC4 cos me trouble n strife is welsh. I'm in scotland on virgexnthell

 

You can only get channels that are specific to your providers channel list, (some are regional), if they carry it an autoscan will find them, have a look at specific provider line ups here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_channels_on_Virgin_Television

 

Scouser my mate has the starview old box and it scambled the other day do u know the lastest key code

 

Ogg go to the Starview Problems Guide at the end of my post you will find all codes there. Also make sure their key emu is on. Press menu, type 1570 on remote and enable it.
