But does it not become a Red box then? There are two different chipsets on the Black MaxV one is Omega and the other is Intel and there is two different methods to use as there is a sector lock on the chipset you described and so you need a different method. SkyMax will work with Omega, Jkeys with the correct bin file is needed for Intel. And then you can load the latest Black TSOP and firmware.

Don't fully understand what you said but the boxes I described do become red boxes then.Have used the Jkeys program with the "7" boxes I described and they remain black boxes.Does the Jkeys program work with all boxes.
Still can't destinguish between the different boxes except for the "7" on the chip.

Just have a quick question.

I have a Eurovox 2007 (RED BOX) with the January software that it first came with.

Is it possible for me to load the latest KURO software, which has the the latest menus and true widescreen.

Could anyone tell me if this is possible and how to do it?

Any help is greatlyu appreciated.

Sure you can the latest is UFL 01/10/07 - just go to eamo's library which is always below scOuser's anf fergus's posts, you will find everything you need there, documentation (how to etc.) and firmware. http//eko.4shared.com

Appologies - inadvertantly typed Kuro Knew there was newer release for blue and red boxes both UFL

 

Doesn't Kuro only work with the black boxes.Also make sure you don't have a clone before you update software or you will brick it.

 

I dont think Kuro will work with the red box but there is later updates for that box than January i think i have Marchs update in my link if u want that

Just loaded the software now. Only probelm is that channels such as E4 FILM 4 are all display no signal.

Do i have to restore factory default then scan again for them to work?

 

try to manually scan them in m8

 

did that, but still E4 ITV 2 FILM 4 ETC, they are all freezing and not a clear pic?

Any ideas?

Signal strength is 93%.

Before i loaded the new software i had 85% whihc was normal.

Now i loaded the onctober image i have freezing and unclear pictures the channels i mentioned.
