Eurovox max security

hi again. i have the box here in work with me, i might test it after lunch. I dloaded the beta file like u said. Double click to open. Do i need to press the download button, or is there another file i need to download and browse to?

 

I hit the Download button and it says "This firmware is not fit for your receiver"
Sorry if i've left this out. The box is a Eurovox Max 2006
I know i should have told you this sooner, sorry.

 

Better been safe and loading the blue Feb 07 firmware, (you will find this in Eamos FTA Library at the end of my post), as I do not know if you have a clone or genuine blue box, later firmware will kill it if its a clone. You will also need dnupman as a loader as it is not a UFL, (unified firmware loader), like later firmware.

excellent excellent excellent. they had an NTL basic package here in the job, hooked it up to the telly. took a while to power scan and update. Channels coming up perfect. Thankyou so much for all your help.

Hey Guys,

Bought a faulty eurovox 2006 and it arrived today.

The problem was that it never picked up any frequencys and displayed NO SIGNAL all the time.

I got it today and loaded the latest UFL and tried scanning and still no joy.

Anybody know how i can fix this?

 

Why did you buy a faulty box? Spare parts is usually the reason by these? Maybe the tuner is gone, have you try it in the RF out socket? This may work if it is just a faulty RF in socket.

just bought box as i fixed one before and wanted to try my luck with this one.

I have the cable in the RF in socket.

Just plug the coax into the cable loop out socket on the back of the box. This may work if it is just a problem with your RF in socket, sorry have to head for a while hope it works out for you.

Still no luck sc0user. Tried it in the loop out socket and nothing.

It must be the tuner i suppose.

still having no damm luck with that eurovox in kildare on ch0$us cable

Have my qam set at 64 all the frequencies added and symbol rate of 6875

followed the below steps and still nothing happening, more importantly missing the football...any inspiration, anyone

Had already updated up freq as per previous post also added 440.000and still nothing coming up

should i delete all other channels and frequency and just try 440.000

freq's for ch****
274.000 371.000
282.000 378.000
290.000 386.000
298.000 394.000
306.000 410.000
314.000 426.000
322.000
to add these freq's you need to
go to installation
green button for ch edit
red button add channel
enter freq and symbol rate 6875
press ok, then repeat these steps till all freqs added. when they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu. press the red button for auto scan. will do a scan an all the freqs entered and should hopefully give you 138 channels.

I opened the box and found it is a clone!!! (BIG MISTAKE!)

I loaded the UFL firmware before i found it was a clone.

Please let me know have i killed the box now that i have loaded the UFL Firmware.

I still have NO SIGNAL.

Is it really worth messing around and trying to get it working?

Not sure what else to do.

Any help greatly appreciated.

By right you should use the UFL Max blue 1/10/07 in the firmware folder in the Eurovox folder in Eammo's folder provided you don't have a clone.This is the latest software that is recommended for the Max Blue.

 

You could Jtag it and bring it back to life but you will still have a faulty clone which probably has a tuner fault.
