EUROVOX MAX V CRITICAL UPDATE

If you want to update the new firmwa*e you need the null modem cable , the loader is built into it so when you click the middle download button it puts the file on without you havening to browse for it ... Put it on stand-by

After updating with the latest update what should the system information be showing? Mine currently shows date as 28 June 2007

 

How can I check if my eurovox box has the up to date software please?

Sorry for being thick but where is the link at the bottom of the thread for the download of the update?

Also what version do i need to check for to see if my box already has it.

You need to flash the critical update to your box. You will find it in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of all my posts in the Eurovox Firmware folder called UFL_MAX_V_06_09_07.zip.

You do not need a loader just the null modem cable and the critical update all the info is here on this thread. I am leaving for the evening so best of luck.

My Eurovox Max V 2008 was working fine until today when it froze and when I unplugged it and plugged it back in it got stuck on standby mode with just 2 green dots showing on the front. Do you know if the box is broken or can it be reset or any other solutions?

No as that is for the parallel port of you pc you need to convert to a serial connection.

Your laptop may not have a DB9 interface as most new ones don't.Thats why you have to use your usb interface in conjunction with the null modem cable.

Do not mix a USB to Serial Cable when its USB to Serial Port Cable that is required.Some people get this wrong when asking. You will then have the required Port to connect the Null Modem Cable to.

No problem. Yes you use that in conjunction with the null modem cable. So essentially you use both of them together.

 

can anybody help,i downloaded new firmware on my eurovox max v and it reads 0000 ,before it used to come up 0001 when i downloaded the old software,how do i download the channel data

 

factory reset to clear any old data,then autoscan on ur provider.to pickup channel data,

Just to be clear, so I don't cock it up, do I turn the box off when connecting and disconecting the cable only, when flashing the new critical update?. I.E the box needs to be on during the process.
