    hi just wonderin can anyone help me i got a eurovox a couple of weeks ago but got up this morning and it had no power

    Box should be on standby.
    Connect cable to back of box and to laptop.
    Turn on the box.
    Install the critical update.
    Put the box back in to standby made.
    Disconnect cable.
    Job done?

    Go to menu, config and system info after the update. Sometimes the critical update will say completed other times it will say failed, but confusingly enough it has updated either way, probably just a glitch.

    Hi - I have the above as well - connecing the null modem isn't working - does that mean it's stuffed completely? Is there anyway to get the firmware updated now, or is it too late? Thanks

    If it is a 2008 model it is still under warranty send it back and ask for a replacement that is already flashed with the latest update.

    Thanks mate - I only bought it a couple of months ago, so I'm guessing it is. Bought one for my neighbour last month - should I get theres into my house and put this latest update on for them?

    No problem. If you bought it from the same source I would put the update on it just in case.

    Yeah same source - was just about to order 3 more for mates. Is this a one off, and will I be OK ordering more boxes? Is there deffo no recovery for mine as is?

    There will be a recovery method once the black tsop has been read. But if its in warranty why go through the whole process of jtagging it, you are covered by the warranty.

    With regards to ordering more I would ask again for warranty cover and that they come flashed with the latest patch. They are a good box just bad times for them at the moment.

    ScOuser, I have just flashed my box with the critical update and this is my system information now.
    Does this mean the update was installed correctly?
