Can you flash the max v any other way other than using the UFL software? I have a max v and it wont load the new firmware onto it.
when i try to flash it, it hangs on the 'system reset' box and if i unplug the power and then power it up again it goes straight to download successful...is it supposed to do that?

Do you know anyone else with the same box that has been flashed?

Are you sure your sister has the same box, PEAA is a protection error message, can mean you have flashed it with the wrong F/W or that you have a clone but I haven't seen this with the Max V.

Off for tonight now will continue with you tomorrow. Leave it alone for tonight ;)

I searched on here and it does not look like a clone box but i could be wrong, it has no red paint or tangled ribbons. strangely it doesn't have a reset button on the main board..is that common for max v boxes?

Try the firmware again from the guide linked below, when it says system reset unplug the box then plug it back in and see if it kicks in.
