If you used the CDF and are still having problems then it is a problem with your cable. Press menu, installation, user installation. Tell me the amount of frequencies you see in there.
Hey Hoping someone can help, i seem to have lost a few stations on my Eurovox Max V. I have tried to reinstall the software and re tune the stations but this has not worked. So far i have lost 2 of the MTV stations 4 other music stations Film 4 and NASN. I presume if N** no longer provide these stations when i re tune they would not be picked up. I am in dublin and in my user Installaton Screen the Symbol Rate is 6.887 and there are 12 diffrent Channel Frequencys, starting at 291.000 and finishing at 403.000.
sorry your query seemed to have been overlooked you need to scan from 290-420 as the frequencies shifted some weeks ago.
Hello all. I need some help please with the issue I'm having on 1 of my Eurovox Max V's. I've tagged onto this thread as it's recent and similar. I have 3 boxes, 2 are working perfectly but 1 is giving me nothing but grief. All had the latest firmware installed. The faulty one is having power issues. Sometimes it will take ages to boot up, sometimes it will freeze during operation and sometimes it won't boot at all. I swopped cables and moved it to another known working location and still it made no difference. I reloaded the firmware but that didn't change anything. I brought it into work as I've an electronics engineer where I work. He's ran diags on the power board but feels that its fine. He thinks is the main board but he doesn't know enough about the Max V. The box is only 3 months old. It was bought from a guy in Galway on his Eurovox Ireland website but the web site is gone and his contact number is out of service. So I've no way of returning it under warranty. Would any of you guys, Scouser, Karljd, or anyone else have any suggestions? Does anyone even know where I might be able to source a main board cheaply. Guys, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Thanks Sc0ucer. He's just checked it again and there was a slight amount of leakage. He's replaced it and I'm going to leave it on power-on test for the rest of the day and I'll connect it back upto aeriel tonight. Thanks for the quick reply, as usual you have provided quality knowledge. I'll update the thread tonight after I've tested it.
Hi Sc0user. After leaving the box on soak test for 4hrs with no power loss I took it home and connected it up to the NTHell cable. The box powered up ok but after 10 mins it locked up and froze. All buttons on the remote had 0 impact. I had to pull the cable out of the back of the box to reboot it. On reboot channel 1 came up but again after a couple of mins it froze again. Would you have any other suggestions to make before I throw in the towel. I've seen the new EX5000PVR's on the web but I'm not sure on the reliability of them yet and don't want to reinvest in another Max V that might only last 3 months like this one. Any ideas? As always, THANKS !
Could try a reflash or if no good a Jtag. Although might be better getting a new PSU. As you say it is only three months old I would send it back under warranty. The EV PVR is quite good but as you said why re invest.
hiya folks i've just come across a similar problem... i flashed my euro vox maxV and shortly after the box wouldnt power up.... i got the download message on the front of the eurovox after i flashed it... but when i power it up... i get the ring of green lights and after that nothing at all... can anyone help me please... i'd be grateful cheers
Try a reflash but this time unplug the EV, hit download on the UFL, wait a few seconds and plug the box back in. BTW what firmware are you using?
