Hi all, im new to this so please be patient, Ive had 2 Max V Eurovox boxes all up and running perfect now for quite a while, I went working away about 2 week ago only to find that when i got back both boxes (one upstairs other in living room) would display the channel for a couple of minutes then pop and no channel error come up before picture came back, tried swapping boxes around, they both have latest firmware versions on them, one with signal fix the other with the slightly earlier with out the fix, I tried rescanning both boxes, the find all channels ok but still have same problem, Ive tried reflashing but that didnt do anything, even tried flashing an earlier bios and then entered the keycodes but still same error. Ive put a Virgin box on and it that works ok. Ive put an old analogue box on thats chipped and that works ok so it looks like the lines all fine. Has anybodt come across this problem or have any ideas ?...
Ive already done the factory reset and the powerscan but cant miss out the splitter as its under the floor, it was all working ok before I went away and seemed to pack in for no reason., any ideas ?
The one without the 8% signal fix has it got the internal signal booster turned on or off. (its in TV settings), if its ON try turning it off then save exit, reboot the box and try your channels. If its already off try turning it on then reboot as above.
just plugged box back in after about a week to try what you said, it said updating code, I then did a power scan to get the new sky channels back, watched it for a while and it seemed ok, so i started sorting the channels and its started hissing and popping again but not as bad, tried turning signal booster on and it settled down for a few minutes then started again, it seems to have settled down again Im away again for a week so will let you know next weekend how the wife has got on with it, i was so looking forward to getting sky 1 back as well. Left box on for about an hour before it started clicking and loosing signal every couple of minutes, anybody got any more ideas ?...
Sorry for delay in getting back to you on this but ive been working away then virign turned boxes off etc, the popping sound is coming from the tv, more of a screech than a pop. I am 100% certain that its something to do with my cable signal as when my daughters boyfriend took the box to his houe it worked ok, as soon as he brought it back it started agin, I have Virgin coming out to test my line on Wed, i treid a signal amp but it didnt make any difference. So i went out and bought a starview box off a friend of mine, it had been turned off and ive seen the software on the bigmac toolbar, I have flashed a few of these for other friends, but when i do this one on reset the screen goes blank and the box says On on the front of it, theres that many versions of software on there that im not sure which one to use, can you help me please ?... hi all, my eurovox max 2006 stopped working about a year ago, it will not power up, nothing happans. i was advised that it may be my c 14 capactor. anyone know if this could be right. ta
I fear the eurovox days are coming to an end. I have had eurovox's for over 3 years now. They do not work at my home anymore. The old N*L boxes with the chipped cards still work at my home. My eurovox's work fine elsewhere but not at my home. Now I am hearing more and more stories of no signal on the eurovox. I get 84% signal on Eurovox, I have fitted cable boosters, but still no signal or breaking signals. About 20% of my friends are all have problems with eurovox. Have N*L finaly cracked the their problem or can we get our boxes working again? I regurlarly update the fixes and regurlarly do full power scans and channel updates.
