As there seems to be power going to it, it may be a capacitor thats at fault.Try the C14,the 1000uf cap is nearly always the culprit, this has sorted out quite a few boxes for a lot of people over the last few months, hence why you should check caps before going down the jtag route. If it is domed/bulging this may be your problem.

Here is where you will find it:

Its quite easy to do and you can get the caps in Maplins. If you feel uncomfortable doing it, yes a TV repair shop will do it for you.

Sorry I am just heading out the door if you can see the Eurovox menu on the screen, just go to menu, config, clear channel data press OK. Then do a full powerscan, (as I do not know your location and provider), or you could get a CDF for your area and provider and download this to your box also.

Sometimes the scart outlet needs to be reset if you cannot see the menu screen, but looks like you can.

You could update your firmware but it fine for now. I know you are with VM, but are you with Telepest of exC*W?

Have you done a normal powerscan, using symbol rate 6952 and a frequency range from 100.000 to 800.000.

Are you plugged directly into the incoming feed and into the RF Cable in socket on the back of the box?
