eurovox max

    hi there, i,m hoping anyone out there can help us? my daughter was burgalled last week and since then she is having problems with eurovox max u see the thieves undid everything from her tv to steal her xbox360 n we cant now get the vox back on.. it did but now it has gone off? anyone know why or what to do? it lights up just two dots..... appreciate anyone helping us with this as i,m clueless

    Sorry to hear about your daughter's plight. The : scenario on the Eurovox usually indicates a problem on the power board, check the C14 capacitor on the PSU board, see if it is bulging or blown. You will have to open the box to look for this.

    hi sc0user! my daughter has just rang me she has checked the c14 and yes it is bloated or watever u call it wat can we do ? and again many thanx for trying to help ur a star

    You will find a replacement C14 cap at Maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=vh50&source=15&SD=Y part No. VH50E costs 50p.

    Easy to replace with a soldering iron, if you dont feel up to it,bring it to your local TV repair shop. They will fix it for you and be amazed by your knowledge when you tell them how to :)
