I heard from a reliable source that there will be fixes for the nag 2
problem on the following boxes in the next week or 2
    Eurovox 1000 sl
    Eurovox Pvr EX5100
There might be other fixes but these are definitely on.

Nice looking box alright, but the time/EPG on it and the 5100PVR box was a nightmare, telling you one thing was on, but it was something else.
Good riddance is what I say :D

Heard something similar a good while back and still nothing. Even at this late stage when nearly all others are done. I always found the guys behind the Eurovox to be on the ball but there has been quite a bit of upheaval over the last year or so, the politics of which is debatable.

@ Cathal the EPG was always like that on all models of Eurovox in Ireland and was an easy fix ;)

What reliable source? I'd take this news with a grain of salt unless it's from the lads at eurovox themselves.

This is from a source that deals directly with Eurovox and he says
they are testing it at the moment.I have had dealings with this person for over 2 years now and I have never known him to make rash comments.

what about the common as muck Max V? i'll assume that easily outnumbers the other models. in Eire .. i take it there'll be no fix for it? :( not to worry i got my kv but theres some blinkered old folks downstairs who probs didn't even notice their eurovox went down, i'd like to fix it for em. by blinkered i mean eastenders, nationwide, fair city, nuacht.. god love em. i think they need no more than RTE1 anyhow

Could fix it on the maxV, red, blue boxes but on the 2 mentioned above it reset everytime the power was turned off which is a pain in the ass

I was very close to ordering one today. A few sites indicated that today was the day they got their latest shipment of Kryptviews since they'd been out of stock for a couple weeks due to people losing faith with their other boxes!

I really like the EV, it's very easy to use and the UI and EPG etc are really good so I'd love it if they fix it, especially since it'll save me some money because I've got 2 here which are as good as paperweights at the moment.

If it wasn't for this thread I'd seriously consider buying a KV but I think I'll hold out a little bit longer and see what happens!

There can't be all you people saying they heard rumours of this and that without there being some semblance of truth behind it.. right? :)

Well, for me.. KV's are roughly EUR120 delivered iirc. That's about 2 months subscription on NTL and I've still paid about EUR100 for a Eurovox about 9 months ago.

So unless I got about 3-4 months usage out of a KV before the Eurovox was fixed, it wouldn't have been worth it money-wise. Nice to have the channeles nonetheless obviously. :)

Yeah I suppose, I still hope to see eurovox's running on N2.

A 'reliable source' story, we have not had one of them in a while!!

Hopefully it will turn out to be true, but I think we have heard this before, but fingers crossed.
