Ive got my cables now im trying to update the firmware. I downloaded the "DnUpMan_4.exe" program but when I get to the 1st screen and browse to the "EUROVOX_MAX_BLUE_BOX_01_06_07.bin" file and press "download" it says "The receiver was not detected" "If you want to download the firmware in the boot mode, click OK button below and AC power on your receiver" this then has the option under COM port setting of COM1 COM2 COM3 and COM4 Where am I going wrong? Im sat with a copy of How to setup an older blue eurovox on my knee but cant get it sorted.

I will give it a go, but surely i will end up with "The receiver was not detected" "If you want to download the firmware in the boot mode, click OK button below and AC power on your receiver"

Think I got it sorted now...... after struggling I decided to check out my youngests pc, its fairly old and low and behold it had a Com port on the back. I managed to download the firmware and flash the box, switched it back on and..... nothing :( checked wires at back of box and realised I had a couple in the wrong place.

    Thanks all for helping :)

    Hi guys, newon here.

I have a Eurovox Red Version, i have downloaded the UFL Max Red 100408 file and it went on fine. I have then done a system reset as stated. Which i presume is from the Clear Data Menu and then Factory Default.

It asks me for Symbolrate 6952 or 6887. I live in an ex C&W and now NTL area in the north west. I presume i use the Rate 6887.

When i do this it goes to a screen called User Installation using a full power scan. On here it asks you to change the start and stop frequencies, then fout symbol rates are below but only onehas the valueof 6.887. When i perform the scan it finds no channels.

When i go under the User Installation option the table which has CH Num, Freq, Symbol Rate and Modulator is all blank.

I have seenthat i need to put a provider code in of 5041 or something.

Am really lost....is anyone able to help???

If your on chorus the new firmware does have chorus incorporated yet,so you just have to wait untill its out, hopefully soon!
