just got my null modem cable in post and am about to start work on my eurovox maxV in a few minutes, just want to check something first tho,

im am on CH*r*S 5E O1, and at the moment my codes are out of date, will this affect the update or should i wait till new codes are out?

just finished updating eurovox maxV and everything went well, got a few extra channels also, only one slight problem that was easily fixed,

when sky sports came on after a few seconds it was in "letterbox" and after checking other channels only some were also in letterbox, went to tv settings and changed screen mode "Full Frame"

while in the tv settings i noticed that "signal booster" was off, should this be on?

a big thank you to everyone here that was so helpful, especially SG8 for his very easy to follow step by step guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/653745

Signal booster is only required if you are in a weak signal area. If you have a signal in the 80s you are fine. High 70s is acceptable.

Codes are taking a worryingly long time to update in NTL South Dublin, hope to Christ they haven't already cracked the new software.

Yep use a CDF for N** Dublin, clear your channel data first and then download it to the EV. You will find my CDF for N** Dublin in Eamos FTA Library at the bottom of my post, (Eurovox Channel Dump Folder).

    Hi Scouser

Downloaded the file, thanks, will try it later tonight,

how do I clear my channel data first,

do I then flash the Eurovox with the CDF for N** ?

    Thanks

Menu, config, clear data and clear channel data. Use the second line on the UFL (Unified firmware loader), you have and download the CDF to your EV. You will also find guides in Eamos.

This will also sort all your channels into favourites for you.
