Quick question lads if ye can help

i have a eurovox max 2008 box in front room and want to get another one on the net for the kitchen, how does one download the settings from one box to the other (Same Channel layout) and the settings for my service, any help would be appreaceted.

Press menu, config, system info. Type 1968 on remote and select the option/options you require. Connect them together with your null modem cable and use one as the master and the other as the slave.

Turn the one you are downloading to away from the remote to avoid a conflict.

I noticed that to download the firmware we need a 9 pin null modem cable.At the back of my PC my 9 pin port is being used to connect my monitor! there is another spare one that would take a 25 pin.Would i be able to buy a 9pin female-25 pin male and would it still work fine? Thanks for the help guys!!

 

For those of you that have downloaded the firmware ect and still haviing problmes getting some channels like i was until today. I lots a shopping channel sports channel and film channel
I went to menu and installation and then user installation and then pressed the RED button to update channels. after that i now have all the channels. That was on the eurovox box if you have a starview or any other box look in menu or if you have them your user isntructions. on the super box i jsut had to delete the channel remember freq and then add that freq manually.!

when i scan the tp it only find 131MHz on 6952 but my signal is at 90+

thats because its not picking up the connection to your box what cable are you using ?

 

usb to null modem cable

 

right so your using the usb serial converter and also a null modem cable have you installed the converter with the little mini disc that comes with it
