eurovox problem

Hi can any one help me I have a eurovox max v 2008 the box just crashed no standby light on everything dead ,appreciate your help

 

Which model year is your box, 2006, 2007 or 2008?

Have you checked to see whether it is a clone?

 

its a 2007 genuine

 

I know this is basic, but have you checked the fuse in the plug and checked using another power lead such as a kettle to see if it works?

 

done all that .The only thing showing is 2 green dots were the numbers should be

 

did you try flash the box with new firmware

 

Seems like it needs JTAGing

 

prob but i would try flash it first if it picks the box up it will reset it and then it might download if it is a dead box then jtagging is the only option left

 

Yep, joet1 as tempo says try the flash if that dont work you know the problem. There's plenty of info on JTAG on this site.

joet you sure you know which box you have and you have flashed it before cos you said you had a max v 2008 then you said a genuine 2007 look at the links in my signature if you are unsure whether its a clone or not and you have the right loader for your box

Have you tried to flash it with the latest KURO software 18.04.2008?

 

yep not being recognised by pc the box is dead apart from the 2 green dots were the numbers should be

You need to buy a JTAG Kit.

Follow that guide, im not a JTAG expert, maybe tempo might be able to help you better, but that guide was made by Scouser and should help you when you get the JTAG lead.

no more experienced than you shubagh .. so joet look at scousers guide and down load sky max or jkeys sky max prob a bit easier but which ever works and get a jtagging kit for a eurovox cos dont think you need to solder any thing .. scouser also gives a link for the max v tsop file which you will need
