eurovox tx flash

Hi guys.
I too am having probs flashing my eurox tx i also have downloaded all the appropiate bin and exe files (eamos library) when i press execute it tells me cant open port connection iam using rs 232 cable(9 holes both ends)so i purchased a logilink usb 2.0 to serial adapter as the mod pcs do not have the 9 pin connection could this be my downfall to many bits and pieces any help would be greatfully appreciated.many thanks

You could also Double-check that it is actually a NULL modem cable that you have.

I changed null modem cable, (new one)result the same .when i checked the settings of ports(&lpt)prolific usb to serial com port i see com 5 but the drop down menu on the loader only gives me com 1/2/3/4 how can i change this com to 5 many thanks for youre help

Change it to Com 3 then try again.

1, in usb properties select port settings,

2, turn your bits per sec all the way up,

3, then click on advance,

4, click on the com port box and change that to 3 then press OK and exit.

sorry for bothering you guys the com port worked just fine everything seemed to working fine until the download stopped at around 3% saying flash failed i have re tried but to no avail i have changed null modem cable (all new) 3 times .
any further help would be much appreciated.

i switched box off then on again the box reads uadl starts to download
then after a few seconds it goes blank the box that is then the word
boot appear then 6E4 then flash fails again

Hi Ruby, can you tell us what exaclty you downloaded from eamos, which loader and which bin date, I have not seen your error messages before (but others might), also when you try reconnect your TX to your TV will it boot and if it does can you go to config then system info and tell us what says in there.

 

Hi mate, looks like a bootloader fault. There is a fix here. Haven't seen that error code but it looks like a pre boot code

The TX is prone to flash problems.

 

Cheers mate another one of many from you to add to my fav's for future refs, I did see you mention this the other day but I think it was a 02 error message?.

Just to add I have been collecting a few CDF's over the past week and will continue to do so, if its any help I have included it in my sig which you may have already seen

 

Yep it usually 02, but I have seen one with a similar code not exactly the same as the OP but the chdl fix worked

Regards the CDFs I think I can find a home for them lol, many thanks as always. Quite a few there so will have to ask Eamo to make some room

 

Will try to keep them going (when time) and delete the old ones, i'm sure eamos can make room for these .

some answers to youre questions.
Loader= TX_STB_Loader.exe
Bin date= 29/11/2007
Systems info= TX_11_11_07

 

A reflash may sort that out. When it reverts to the 11/11/07 thats the problem. Make sure you do a factory reset after flashing with the 23/11/07 firmware.

If you have a problem reflashing. Unplug the EV, hit download on the loader and then plug the EV back in. If you have a persistent problem use the chdl fix I have linked to above. This will repair the bootloader and allow you to flash as normal.

Hi all.
Im having simalar problem meself.When i switch box on "Boot" appears on display.Then "02" but i dont get the On as before.Box just goes blank.
Ive tried the chdl fix,download says ok,but still only getting Boot/02 then box switches off.
Any ideas lads and lassies?

scouser i just followed what the guys told me,eventually i got there
after a lot swearing - head bashing and cups of tea.
hiteck and scouser will sort you out,best of luck..i am relatively new to all of this.

Hi Guys I'm a newbie, I have the exact same problem did anyone ever solve this problem, I cant get the box to display Boot/02 & ON. Box just goes blank after 02.
