    Ok, Im pretty good with Dvd's, thanks to this site.. with no questions.

    However im not familier with HD dvd, I came across a backup of one though and need a little help. My goal isnt to actually put this on a disc and watch in a HDdvd player, yet simply watch from my computer. Any information is appreciated.

    Within the o 20 gig file there are two folders... Ive attached photo's for more detail.

    I have never heard of this .My HDtv allows me to connect
    my computer to my tv but what kind of a connection between
    the two woiuld I need in order to play an HDdvd?I currently
    use my second tv (standard digital)as my monitor using
    an Aver Media box.Would I also need special files or something
    in order to do this?
    If all that is needed is this Power DVD program then why
    buy an HDDVD or Blu-Ray dvd player?
    Any info appreciated.

    @purplkush
    Try this
    I haven't gotten around to testing this, but I don't see why it shouldn't work.

    Well, assuming you mean a standalone player, some people might have their computers in their bedroom and their big screen TV in their living room, they may not have a computer capable of playing them back, they may have to use the same output for their monitor and TV, which is a pain to swap over all the time, etc...

    If you mean a Blu-Ray / HD-DVD computer drive then; they may not know how/where to get backups, they may be on 56k dial up, 20-30 GB on 56k will take ONE HELL of a long time to DL!
