if you are SURE that you burned it right, then you need to try a different media. most xboxes that I know of will not work with cd-r. some will. try a dvd-r or rw or maybe a cd-rw. some will, some wont. one of these is your answer if you are burning right. I have one that will take cd-rw and no dvd-rw and another what will dvd-r and not dvd-rw or cd-rw. cd-rw it the best if you can. its cheap and can be fixed if you mess up the burn. and I think most xb's like it!

EVERY SINGLE samsung xbox drive I have come across reads 99% of all cd-r I have tried
but the philips and thompson have major problems (in fact I only found 1 that would read on either, and that was the philips)
youre best bet is to use a cdrw or dvdrw
also , if you can, I urge you to get an auto installer
the most common (and easy to find) is slayers installer
    get mirc (www.mirc.com)
    goto packetnews.com do a search
youll find it, its already iso, burn to cdrw or dvd-r
(personally, I prefere dvd-r for anything related to xbox)
a good test to find if your xbox reads the media, use a music disc you made see if it plays (make one on cdrw see if it plays it, if it does, it reads the media)

+r work the best on philips drives
-r work the best on thompson and samsung
what you need to do is find a media tht works for you
I mod xbox all the time, so I come across all the differnt drives
and the sony oem dvd-r I use, work on em all:)
however , just find the best for yours:)))
I use Stomp recordnow max for the burning process of discs.
But a lot of the good burning progs are fine:)
