Thanks for the response. What did you mean by 4.3 to 4.4?? Is that the VIDEO_TS folder? I was unable to get my hands on 2.67 Version yet, but I will definetely download the latest RB version once I get home from work!!

BTW, you can get the 2.67 version of CCE, you just have to follow it out a little from the 2.69 Download.

Link on the 2.69 version, and it will ask you for your account details. Then, it will take you to previous versions.

FYI, I've only used the latest 2.69 version with RB and after more than 60 backups not one coaster(except for that copy of DareDevil I butchered with DVDremake). I've never understood why anyone would use a lower version unless the app requires it. I also have the 2.67 version but only because 2.69 won't work with DVD2DVD-R and I'm still playing with it.

Soph, This is what I understand, 2.69 never worked for me. When I switched to 2.67 it has never not worked for me. I am not the only one.

Besides you just stated that you're using 2.67 with dvd2dvdr. There is an instance in itself where you are doing the same thing. heh heh

Another example, Nero recode with their update before the last update completely would not work, had sizing issues, even craig for nero told me this. It wasn't until this last update the problems were corrected.

Just because it's an update doesn't mean it's better, only that it's supposed to be better.

The only reason I use 2.67 with DVD2DVD-R is that it doesn't recognize anthing above that at all, if it recognized 2.69 I wouldn't use 2.67. Those who use 2.69 include, 6402, jdobbs, and me and none of us are having problems. I agree and update doesn't always mean that it's better but it doesn most often.

 

LOL, you all were some of the lucky ones, there are several of us that weren't that lucky. I may try the next update of CCE and see what happens.

 

You may have missed the last one it was on 06/30/04 well after the period when everyone started going back to 2.67.

Hi everyone, i have been able to use RB/CCE SP for a while but, i formatted my drive and had to re d/l everything, well, now when RB tries to encode i get a "F:/ROTK/D2VAVS/item.ecl is not a ECL file for CCE SP" here is my RB .ini file:

Pop you're using CCE SP, you might want to switch to Basic.

The reduced file size in this case sounds like the same reduction in file size I got when the avisynth screwed up. I don't know precisely were but you might uninstall everything then get all the latest updates then reinstall paying close attention to the guide.

If the encoding starts and the frames don't change and the bit rate stays low like about 1.2 or so then you still have a problem. Let us know.

Heres what I tried out yet again. Uninstalled everything(CCE Basic,AVI Synth, DVD RB). Installed the following:
(1) Trial Version of 2.69 CCE Basic
(2) Latest Version of AVI Synth 2.5
(3) Latest Version of DVD RB-0.56
(4) Install the eclCCE.EXE file(as per instructions) and then point the CCE path located in DVD-RB's setup dialog to eclCCE.exe

But when I did that, an eclCCE error popped up:

"Unable to find the CCE window. Error 87. Parameter is incorrect"

Any ideas as to what this could be?? I just uninstalled the earlier version of CCE. Do I have to remove anything else from the registry etc??

CCE basic trial doesn't work with rebuilder.
I'm sorry, I was under the impression you already purchased the program.

To test you will need CCE SP trial. I used 2.50 because I had difficultly with my system and 2.67.
It is in the download section under encoders with the other trials.

Intstall 2.50 trial CCE SP then put eclCCE in a different folder alone then double click on it and point it to CCE sp 2.50.

In rebuilder;
The set the path to 2.50 seperately but point it toward eclCCE instead. It will open 2.50.

In rebuilder;
Go to options, then CCE then, set CCE SP 2.50.

With everything else setup like in the guide this should work.

 

If you purchase CCE basic you just follow the guide, don't use eclCCE. Thats only for trial CCE SP.

 

bappida, I think we all were under the impression you had purchased CCE Basic. Most of the problems have occured using these trial versions.

Even if you get CCE SP working you are going to have a watermark on your video.
