That looks correct so far, what about your rebuilder settings?

Can someone please help me out. I have searched everywhere and can not find an answer to my new problem. I am still having the undersized problem I mentioned before. I am using the following softwares:
    DVD-RB v0.61
    Avisynth v2.5.4
Cinema Craft Encoder Basic v2.69.01.10 (newest version)

My source is about 5.5 GB and the output from DVD-RB is 2.63 GB. In another attempt the source was 8 GB and it reduced it to 2.6 GB. THe video looks good to me but it could be better with more disc space usage. It has done this to me three times! Also does anyone know if there is any way to get an older, more compatible version of CCE Basic? I already paid for the newest version. But anyways thanks for all the help you all have given me and it is back to DVD Shrink for me until I get this thing working.

I'm quite new at this and after going through and through DVD-RB, I don't know how many of the users here posted thier RB settings.

jimmy, I don't know if it will solve your problem, but I use an older version of CCE basic-v. 2.67. You should be able to go to CCE basic and DL it, if not there is a URL for it in this or the other thread.(what is the best transcoding....)

    HKT3020, ????????

I'm just asking how you have RB set up? If it's personal, don't worry about it.

    HKT3020...

If your software setup came with an installer, I am familiar with your setup using the same versions of all the softwares. I never got the buffer overflow error you did, although I am very familiar with the error with other setups. Most of the time a reformat with a clean install of all the software will solve your problem. There isn't much else you can do software wise at this point.

I might as well mention this. After ripping it with Decrypter, I edited the menus and such with Remake.

That is good to mention (Remake), and could be a source of the problem. Especially if it is an older version. You should try to just run a Decrypter file through to prove the integrity of the setup. Also, I am thinking you should upgrade RB .56 to RB .61. This could also solve the buffer overflow problem.

If you still have the files, you can can set up RB .61 separately, and run them through without having to encode them again.

I hope these forums don't have day limitations on posts in a thread or else I'll be given the boot. But just a few minutes ago I tried the latest version of DVD-RB and for some odd reason after transcoding, there was no .avs file and to my knowledge after the RB does what needs to be done, CCE automatically will encode. But I'll create a fresh new image and keep you guys posted.

Until you've had a few successes I'd suggest you hold off on using Remake. Remake not only allows you to make positive edits to your movie, it also allows you to completely screw its entire structure up.

Take it one step at a time and then report any problems.

I don't think an older version of CCE is what you need, but here is the link:
    http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/download.html

Go to the 2.69 Basic download location. Link there, and you will then be asked for your purchase info. You will be able to downlaod older versions.

A couple of more things. You have 4 eclPasses selected. If you change this to 3, you will then make 2, which is plenty, and will save you time.

Here is how to update to RB .61, which is simple.
Delete any file named "Rebuilder" in the DVD Tools\Rebuilder folder. This includes the yellow DVD-RB icon. Then place the RB.61 download file in this Rebuilder folder. Extract the new RB .61 files. Then create a Shortcut, and drag it to the desktop. Done.

Did you try doing everything on just 1 drive as suggested? This is what I believed solved brobear's size problem.

Just tried an untouched rip done by decrypter and so far I'm receiving the same error on this end. Okay now I'm getting desperate, so I'll ask a few questions just to get them out of the way.

Will increasing the pririty for CCE cause error 0004?
Should a copy of the EclCCE app be placed in the CCE SP folder?

I'll give the latest version another try.

I'm not following you here? And no, you don't need the eclcce file in the CCESP folder.

Usually the buffer overflow error comes up at the beginning of stage 3/Rebuild. It takes 3 to 4 hours to get to this point. Are you getting it before stage 3?

    Doc,
Just to keep things straight about the problems I had with the RB setup, I'll run through it real fast. I had 2 problems. First, I got the Overflow problem in the rebuild stage. That was solved by putting everything on one drive, C: in my case. Second, I had the sizing problem. To solve that, I deleted all the components involved with the setup (I do mean all). Then I did a fresh installation. Following the fresh installation the sizing problem disappeared. So, it was use one drive to eliminate the Overflow and a fresh install to clear up the sizing problem. I'm now using RB 0.61 along with CCE 2.69 Retail and everything is working good.

brobear ... thanks for clarifying that. If I remember, you also tried manipulating the output size of the file too, didn't you? It sounds like jimmy3220's best bet is to do a fresh install?

This is a bit strange, it seems with the updated version of DVD-RB it finished the 3 phases in 6 minutes. Secondly I now have alot of files in the D2vAVS folder. I was not aware that this will be done so quickly or have I done something wrong?

What are the following steps and the files in my VideoTS folder equals only a 1GB.

In my haste I forgot to tell you to go back into rebuilder and set it up the same as before. 'Sorry. This means to point to the same folders, and use the same items checked in the setup. Look to your DVD-RB diagram above.
