under file, there is a "shutdown at batch completion", and under mode there is a "shutdown at one click completion".

I tried browsing through 40 or so pages for this, but I really couldn't find an answer that made sense to me so I'm sorry if this is a report.

I'm getting a lot of oversized DVD's and I'm not sure why. I'm using 0.64a and CCE SP (basic scrambles the picture on me). The output is usually around 4.6 GB. Is there anyway to manually tell it the output size like dvd2one?

    Thanks!

What version of CCE SP are you using? Is it a trial version? And, was the Basic that scrambled the picture a trial version?

This sounds like a setup problem to me. You haven't provided a lot of information but my recommendation would be to delete everything and start over making sure that you use the settings described in Vurbal's guide here on AD. The best possible fix is often a clean setup.

Has anyone compared the results of the 2 decoders we can now use? What is meant by "special error processing". TIA

I would like to try procoder, but i'm not sure of the setup, it isn't just installing a correct path to it and checking it in RB, after RB opens it, it gives a files corrupted / bad rip, or files not in the correct format error.

Yet the same files work perfectly with CCE.

Reinstalling seemed to do the trick. I redid the same movie that was giving me trouble and this time it was down to 4.38 GB so I was good to go there.

Then I loaded up nero and dragged the files from VIDEO_TS into the VIDEO_TS on my blank DVD, and nero gave me a warning that the .inf (? - i'm at work and don't remember the file types exactly) did not match and they should have.

Best thing to do redo it and see if it happens again?

I burned it anyways, and the DVD won't play it just hangs. I played the individual files on the DVD in media player and they work just fine, but something must have happened processing and I'm wondering if there is a quick fix? Usually my VIDEO_TS folder only has a few files (I rip in movie only mode) but my video_ts folder here had like 28 files.

That's still just a little too large. All of mine come in at 4.33 or 4.34 . The disc is 4.37, you're cutting it awful close! Wonder if that had anything to do with the burn error?

That fits on my dvd's...? Every disk I've ever tried to burn is 4.47 I think. I may be wrong about it being 4.38, but it was small enough to burn.

It was just saying some files didn't match correctly, when they should be perfect matches. Then even though the files play perfectly in Media Player, they won't play as a DVD?

Are you ripping your DVDs in file mode?

Yep, I'm doing "movie only" in file mode. I'll try again tonight from scratch and keep everyone posted. Seems like I have about 6 hours into this movie by now, but if the quality is as good as everyone says (and I paid for the software to do this) I'd like to get it working.

You must rip the entire disc in file mode, movie only won't work.

Yea it's telling me BUP doesn't match IFO. Compliance test failed via nero.

    I'll redo the entire disk.

So if I typically just use DVD2ONE and burn "movie only" am I gaining any quality by using CCE to do the entire disk?

If the size of the movie is around 5 gigs then DVD2one will probably do a comparable backup to the original, but as the movie's size approaches 6 gigs then quality will begin to degrade and RB/CCE will be better. I used to do movie only backups but since I started using RB/CCE I now get everything but unwanted sound tracts.

Thanks Sophocles, you've been a huge help so far. I've been trying to do "Van Helsing" the last 2 days and that's what's been giving me trouble. I'll remember that as a rule of thumb when I'm deciding between the two programs. I'm going to stick this one out though until it gets it right, I've got too much time into it to stop know. Still, all the testing is 1/2 the fun for me!

So since it says "Video title sets" in the upper right corner, say I've only selected one when I start the process, does that do a movie only since only one set is selected?
