    Indeed. As jdobbs likes to say you can be a member of a very exclusive club. Speaking as one of the handful of members I'd say it's well worth the cost.

    An exclusive club, eh? How do I join? I looked around, then figured you were hiding from me. :)

    Well the easiest way is to use the Make A Donation option on DVD-RB's help menu, but don't expect to see me when you get in. I spend a lot of time passed out in the back ;-)

    Well, I somehow got into this exclusive club by slipping in through the back door. I stumbled over someone whose head was hanging out the door ... don't know if it was you vurbal ... crunched someone else's hand that was also layed out on the floor, got cussed at, and was told to go out front and make a good impression. So here I am. This is a neat club folks. Ya otta join.

    Urge to kill rising...

    Ok, I now have the full version of CCE basic. When it goes into the rebuilding phase it exits with "DVD Rebuilder experienced a buffer overflow. Error #0003. Process must abort." And the files it does finish look like this:

    Any idea what's going on?

    First, how did you rip the files, and did you do any editing. If so, with what, and to what extent?

    I ripped the files with DVD Decryptor and then used DVD Shrink to rip the movie only and left it uncompressed.

    That happens to me once in a while. As I understand it, Shrink ends up making some of the streams non-compliant, and this causes the #0003 problem. Since this is a new install, I would suggest running the decrypter files through first just to make sure everything is OK.

    A lot of us use DVD Remake to re-author DVD's. With DRM it is easy to do a movie only, and to remove the warnings and splashes at the beginning.

    Where can I get ECLCCE ? Doom has been down for some time now, and I want to try before I spend $60 bucks.

    I agree with doc409. Did you keep the first audio stream?

    @stolen009. I don't know of any other place to get ECLCCE. I can understand your reluctance to spend $58, but if quality is your primary concern, you will eventually have to spend the $58 anyway.

    Hey all, it's good to be back and this is an excellent thread(well, except for one little snafu, which darthnip seems to have taken care of-good job).

    Cudos to doc and soph for starting it, vurbal for his guide, dimad for remake which is tailor made for RB, and jdobbs for his impeccable software, beta or not. It is without a doubt, the best of the apps out there used in conjunction with CCE for video backup. Also, I'm now going to work on the time thing using batch since jdobbs refuses to get it down under an hour. lol

    Seriously, jdobbs, with all I have spent on video software, I saw your comment about donations and I see no reason not to donate to your cause, especially considering it's results. Do you take Paypal, It is my preferred choice of payment. Let me know and I hope more will also consider a contribution to your efforts.

    Thanx....

    'Being that I am likely the newest member of this exclusive club, let me direct you to the Help menu on the RB app. The "Make a Donation" will link you directly to Paypal.

    I did keep the first audio stream. I guess I'll re-rip the movie and try DVD Remake. I'll let you know if it's successful in a bit. Thanks =)

    @holycOw...

    You had also mentioned that you ripped with decrypter, and then edited with Shrink. This might not make a difference, but skipping decrypter, and only ripping and editing with Shrink might be the way to go. Never-the-less, I still have #0003 problems once in a while when I get Shrink involved. I've never had a problem sending the whole DVD through, though, and the quality is still amazing.

    I think I'm going to try that first...skip over DVD Decryptor and do it all in Shrink.

    I looked at dvdremake and...I just can't spend any more money on this. That's what I get for being unemployed. Can you recommend any other programs?

    From a google search:

    http://home.t-online.de/home/340044300675/eclcce.zip

    Interesting what gets added to to beginning of links posted here... Not that I mind, a little advertising never hurt anyone I guess.

    Note again: Whaaa.. it's gone now??? (visualize head scratching)

    @jdobbs. I think it's been on everyone's mind.

    @Brian100. Thanks. I've looked through the DVD Stripper guide a little bit. I see how things are stripped, but I'm wondering how they get identified in the first place? Is there some kind of viewer I missed, or does one use something like Shrink to zero in on the files?
