    Well, the menu's been reduced from 600MB to around 80MB with full functionality (any other language than English is not deemed functional).

    So I'll keep it.

    Unfortunately someone's posting the entire series now and the quality of the DivX's is equal to my 9 pass CCE rips...

    Hey everyone :D

    I got a new PC (see sig for specs) and I can't figure out whats up with RB/CCE. I have CCE Basic 2.69.01.04 and here is my Rebuilder ini file.

    from what i remember its setup correctly but, RB doesn't like CCE! It give me an error that says:
    No CCE path has been set. Use menu Options/Setup to configure.

    The path for CCE basic should go to Program Files/Custom Technology/Cinema Craft Encoder Basic/cct2.exe on the chosen drive.
    Did you allow the default directory on install?

    As long as the path directs to where the files are located, it doesn't have to be the default folder. There are some things wrong with the configuration file. It looks like one from SP that has been altered back to Basic. The CCENew= and CCE=1 has the program fooled.

    Here's what a clean Basic configuration for your setup should look like. Note I left out Decomb. You only insert that as needed. At least I haven't had a problem with it out, your discretion to put it back. You had the Expert settings away from default and the 3 passes causes Basic to default to 1 pass.

    Copy and insert the following configuration settings to replace the ones you have in the rebuilder folder.

    [Options]
    HC_Quality=1
    HC_Matrix=1
    Mode=1
    AudioDub=0
    idct7Opt=1
    RemoveDTS=1
    OneClick=1
    Skin=Rockas Original
    HalfD1=000000
    Convert_16_9=000000
    DisableInterlace=000000
    [Paths]
    CCEBasic=C:\DVD-R Tools\CCE Basic 2.69.01.04\cct2.exe
    MPEG2DEC=C:\DVD-R Tools\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\DGDecode.dll
    Working=C:\DVD-R TOOLS\WORKING DIR\
    Output=C:\DVD-R TOOLS\Final Output (DVD-ReBuilder)\
    Source=E:\VIDEO_TS\
    [Setup]
    Languages=1111111111111111111111110111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
    sLanguages=1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111
    [Audio]
    Selected=11101111
    [CCEOptions]
    VBR_bias=25
    Quality_prec=16
    eclPasses=2

    If you changed any folder locations, you'll need to change the path. This configuration file is for RB Pro. The Matrix setting wouldn't be applicable for freeware, but it shouldn't make a difference.

    That is what a freeware version looks like. Just out of curiosity, it the E: drive a hard drive or DVD optical drive? Just a bit strange, everything on C: and the source E:.

    @brobear, I donated $5 today so I have the "Pro" version. On the drive thing, I put the movie (Incredibles) on the hard drive in a .ISO format so I don't delete a file on accident. It is mounted to a virual drive with the letter "E:"

    Thanks for the help,

    Peace,

    Pop Smith

    You're welcome. Most people just rip with Decrypter in file mode, but RB works with ISOs as well. You don't lose any files that I've noticed in file mode. Just optical drives pose a bit of a problem if one is trying to read from one. After your first successful encode with the new configuration, you'll have CCE= and Completed= added to the folder by the program. You have a running tally of how many programs you recorded with the app. Just in case you want an accurate count for bragging rights later on. LOL

    @Pop_Smith

    Not sure if you've fixed it yet, but here's the problem:

    ...
    AdditionalOutput=1
    NoWarn=1
    CCE=1
    OneClick=1
    [Audio]
    Selected=1000011100
    ...

    You're using CCE Basic -- but have selected CCE Pro under OPTIONS/CCE OPTIONS... the ini file should say "CCE=2" if you've selected CCE Basic...

    Thanks for the support.

    jdobbs and I were pointing out the same problem. I simply corrected the problem by leaving CCE=1 out of the configuration setting and CCE=2 is written in by the program when encoding is started.

    The CCE=2 (for CCE Basic) is written in by the program following the start of encoding. The user can type it in, but it doesn't appear in a clean configuration before starting encoding for the first time. [bold]This is one of the problems using an SP configuration file for basic, or vice versa, the CCE=(?) isn't changed by the setup options. The user can delete the entry and let the program rewrite the correct entry or type in the correct entry if known. For the forgetful like myself, it's easier to leave it out and let the program do it.[/bold] As jdobbs pointed out, typing in 2 for the 1 for CCE=2 changes to the Basic path setup as well.

    The point to remember is: [bold]No CCE=(?) or the right one in configuration settings, the wrong entry will cause problems.[/bold]

    Just as a point of additional information, if you delete the "CCE=" entry completely, CCE Basic is the default.

    CCE Options selections for the encoder enter a corresponding number other than for the Basic.

    CCE=0 CCE SP 2.50
    CCE=1 CCE SP
    CCE=2 CCE Basic (No CCE entry in configuration defaults to Basic, program enters CCE=2 when initially absent from file, changes to 2 when Basic is selected following another encoder having been selected for same rebuilder app previously.)
    CCE=3 CCE SP Trial

    The selection needs to correspond to the path.

    jdobbs,
    ;) We were saying the same thing only in a different way. Your program, I'm sure you know how it works better than I do. For those not having noticed the setup features, I was just pointing out for CCE Basic, the CCE=2 doesn't have to be in the initial configuration file. As you pointed out, Rebuilder defaults to Basic (CCE=2). For the other versions, the CCE=(?) is present from the start.

    ALL!

    I ran into an event where I wanted to use the new matrix option under DVD-RB pro. I was backing up a BBC episodic DVD. The average bit rate was 1.7-1.95MB\Sec.

    Attempt 1:

    The configuration file used with DVD-RB was tried and tested over many backups. I turned off the following options for an episodic DVD.

    - Half D1
    - steal space enabled

    This method caused a run-time error ‘9’. The disc in question was not edited or modified in any way.

    Attempt 2:

    I used the advanced quantization option: very low bit-rate. (< 2MB)\Sec. The following options were still turned off for an episodic DVD.

    - Half D1
    - Steal Space .

    The backup completed without errors. The video looked perfect even under a high zoom. It does not get any better then this.

    Run-time Error '62': Input past end of file using CCE & rebuilder

    This happens when I tried to backup Nas: Video Anthology

    There are no multiple angles, but it says "ANGLE and/or INTERLEAVING is present."

    I'm using professional v.082 of rebuilder and CCE SP

    This error sometimes occurrs due to the version of AviSynth and DGDecode being used. What versions of AviSynth and DGDecode are you using?

    Weird is the word for it. I've never seen readings like those. The bitrates look way out of scale as does the reduction. Does this happen with all your backups or just this particular one?

    It appears that you've run into one of those rare discs that is completly ILVU. I'm working on the routines to reencode them. For right now the only option is to use a third party package to remove the additional angles.

    As for Runtime 62 -- I don't have a clue, I've never seen that.
