    I need help finding a compatible usb (external) dvd burner for my pentium II laptop. It only has 192 mb of memory and 298 mhz, and I was told by Best Buy that I probably wouldn't find a compatible dvd burner for it. Is this true, or is there one out there for it?! I need someone to tell me which brands/ models are compatible!!!

    @gameplan

    I think 192Mb Ram and 298Mhz processor would be enough to just play(view) the DVDs on your PC, I don't think you can get into the "burning" business yet, with so little resources!
    I wouldn't buy a burner before upgrading the computer

    thanx anyway, instead of investing in another upgrade I'll sell this laptop, combine my money and buy a whole new system. Preferably a dell this time around, as this is an old panasonic! Thanx!!!

    That was kinda what I had in mind, a different system!
    I didn't think you would want to go through changing the MB and CPU on an ancient laptop:~)!
