    folks

    - essentially after a bit of advice.
have around 1TB worth of bits and pieces around on old hard drives, dvds, cds etc., and want to get them all together, possibly raided up to a degree.
netgear do a unit i believe where you can put 2 x hdd in, and set to mirror, however, that will use up half the capacity - is there anything that will allow 3 drives (so raid 5 can be done)

or any other ideas would be most welcome

    cheers

alas, no - motherboard not supporting raid.

might just go for a monster drive, and archive to dvd - or a few blu-ray discs, when cheap enough...
