I have been burning dvd media for a long time now using anydvd and shrink. I have always used +r media. Recently I received a 25 pack of Verbatim -r discs and everytime it tries to burn, it fails. On copies or originals. Do I need to set something up in preferences with Nero or Shrink? I cannot figure this out. Why cannot I place a movie on these discs? Any of them? Any help is greatly appreciated....
here is the message I get from Nero:

K: Please edit out you serial number from your nero burn log. It's on the top and starts with: A020 xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx. Someone can steal it.

Get some good plus format media. Just get the plus in those verbatims that you have. They are very good and can prevent a lot of issues later.Or simply get some maxell + media, they are very good and easily available locally. Office depot and staples have them on sale now.

Here's another thing on your log you should change:
This is stretching it,even on the finest quality media. Simply reduce that target in dvd shrink:
    Edit
    Preferences
    Click on dvd-5
Scoll until you get to custom
In the box beside it: Enter 4360
    OK.

This will keep you from burned the outer edge of those blank discs. This can cause problems down the road and this simple change to 4360 mbs will prevent a lot of issues.

Another tip, keep it at this speed. If you do get some of the newer +8x media like verbatim data life plus-My favorite-/ maxell / sony-fuji 1x-8x,all of those will burn at 12x if I leave my burn settings on max. Those sony +1x-8x will burn at 16x for me on both my benq's. Just keep an eye on this when you get the new plus format media.

I didn't see anything else out of the ordinary,so that new media should fix your problem.Just a few tips I listed will help you out, specially the quality media.Avoid the cheap/generic/and store brand name media like compusa and staple's brands.Get the ty/maxell/verbatim/sony-fuji 1x-8x,and ritek = All very good.
    Sony 4x/1x-4x not so good.
