If you're reallly stuck on the idea of buying a copy of an ipod then i suggest you buy inovix's ipocket, which isin't like the other fake cr*p you get on ebay.
    It's price:130$

This mp3 player's brand(inovix)make tons of other mp3 players, which is kind of the proof that it isin't some junk made in a garage in taiwan.

Another point to make is in france it's the 5th most bought item in a big technology store!(just more proof it's nt junk).

Personally my money wouldn't go near MP3/MP4 Digital Player. I've never seen a knock off of any product come near the quality of the original. If you buy a knock off you'd better hope the warranty and the quality of the service department is as good as the original manufacturer too.

I don't even see a warranty for the MP3/MP4 Digital Player and the only contact information is a gmail address. To me that shows they don't believe in the quality of their product and could care less if it breaks on you.

    Hi to all members,

Please Read my posting carefully before going to buy a iPod Clones over EBay & some other sites.

Actually I'm surfing for some other information related to iPod Clones & accidentally visited this forum & after reading this thread I throught to share my experience with iPod Clones.

I'll write a detailed information (alongwith some proof) within 3 days, Now I don't have a time to do that(please Xcuse me). For a time being, I'll fetch some Important & helpful info for you ppl.

    1) These Clones will use a Memory chip from maker "hynix" or "samsung".

    2) Most of the 256MB, 512MB or 1GB labelled clones are uses same chipset (majorly by "hynix") 128MB & hacked to other memory sizes.

    3) buyer will think that he has bought 256MB, 512MB or 1GB player, But actually it got only 128MB memory chipset.

    4) After uploading your favouret songs to it, Simply it will copy all songs (more than 128MB also) to player memory. When you play it, it will play songs successfully till 128MB & Player starts "RESTARTING" automatically.

    5) When you tries to FORMAT it, it will format to its actual size (i.e.128MB) & finally your player's memory is revealed to 128MB.

    6) Actualy this FRAUD starts from Manufactures (CHINA). Mainly the company named, Wilson Electronics, China.

Please Xcuse me for now, coz I got very important work to do in next 3 days (Very much busy).

I promise you that I'll write a detailed/transparent/Truth about these iPod clone players.

I request readers to wait for my next detailed information before buying any iPod Clones.

Actually I bought 2 ipod clones(One from ebay & another from local shop) & I got sucked like anything.

Last week I ordered for my 3rd player(this is also from china makers only but shape was different, i mean not a ipod clone) & i may get that within a day or two.

    Thanks for reading my post.

I request all readers to distribute this information to other FORUMs also, so that everybody should know the reality about these "IPOD CLONE" players.

    Byr 4 now.

    Nashot.

i have a 20gig iPod and my gf has the 2gig NANO. as opposed to her iPod, my screen is not in color and at times i am jealous.

think about exactly what you intend or may intend on using your device for. are you going to use it to stream music to your headunit??? (i have a setup in my car) do you even have a car...or plan on getting one??? i say this because i use my iPOD almost everywhere (working out, car, work, school, home, yardwork), and i am extremely satisified with it. i wouldnt consider any alternative to date.

i think 'nashot's' post is something to read and think about. i understand "money" is different for everyone, but sometimes "cheaper isn't always better." if you have managed to live life w/o this luxory(if you will), i don't think it will kill you to wait a little longer.

But hey if you could get the ipod firmware on them and it realy was 1GB of memory. Then it would be worth the money.

So you guys don't think you could just update it with the ipod firmware?

No it wouldnt be a plug in and update. It would be more of editing the hex codes to make it think its an ipod and make the updater and the itunes to think its an ipod.
Then maybe just maybe youl get the ipod os on it.

I would not buy one of those even if i was drunk.

    A) you have no idea what your actually getting, as stated above it's probably junk

    B) how long could something like that last?

    C) material is probably garbage which is why it's so cheap

In conclusion i would just buy an ipod, they're way worth the money.

I decided to look at the comments and everyone seems fairly happy with it, hmmm maybe you should buy it to see how it is, it's cheap as hell so even if it's trash atleast your not losing to much.

We can prety much conclude that its not trash because you would see people leaving comments about it being trash, not working, not enough memory, and other complaints.

I purchased one so we'll soon see if its trash or treasure!
I'll post back with what I got.
