@KyKy 91 - Mine runs fine with the 6600 Turbo, the only thing that might hamper you a tad is the 2.4 Ghz processor. I think it should run quite good though, but alot of detail will be left out. Before i got my 6600 i was playing it on an old Ti4800 - that was shit! NO shadows lol!!

@Tone deaf - get yourself a 6800GT (if you can find one - by the looks of things you are on AGP?). Should be nice and cheap if you can find one and they run most games out now - including FEAR - on high settings. Trust me i got a 6600 and I'm happy with it, but wish I had've hunted down a 6800 instead because for the extra cash they can handle so much more!!

Yeah thats a 128bit version, so it's not a crippled one, BUT, if you can afford it, I tend to agree with Timmy1970 and go for a 6800GT, they are worlds apart in terms of performance.

If that list was within your budget, then the 1300XT is the best out of the bunch, but if you can push a little extra let us know and we can make a reccomendation for you.

Hi mate, the speed definatley makes a difference, but so does the chipset. ie a 600mhz X850XT would be better than a 650mhx 6800ultra.

    But, 2 things.

    1) your welcome for any help, thats what afterdawn is all about.
    2) Some faster chipsets arent always better. Memory speed has a lot to do with it too.

I have a 2500XP CPU and a 6800LE Graphics card and so far, even though F.E.A.R hammered my system, I have not beeen unable to play anything.

    nite time again for me.

    Nite bud.

If you did buy from abroad and had it shipped internationally it would still work in your computer with no problems.

For the cost of shipping it may be better to try and find something a bit better over here? How much does shipping for a static sensitive item like a Graphics Card cost?

I think I'd be tempted to buy in own country from a support point of view.
There'd be nothing worse than having a faulty item and having to return it overseas!!!

Yep. I second that motion. If you look hard enough, you'll find something that suits your needs in your own borders. Less stress over when the damn thing will arrive too...
