i hope someone can explain this

i have a P4S800 ASUS motherboard i want to add more ram i have 3 dimm sockets, i have 2 ram sticks installed, the first one came with the computer and only says on it DDR400 512MB the second piece says PC3200U 512MB 400Mhz 64Mx64 DDR SDRAM.

now this is where it gets confusing for me, in the manual it says this

3x184-pin DDR DIMM sockets support up to 3GB unbuffered non-ECC DDR memory (NOTE: PC2100/1600 supports up to 3 DIMMs;PC3200/2700 support up to 2 DIMMS; 1 GB PC3200/2700 with 32 DDR chips support to 1 DIMM only.

if i want 2gb of ram what are my options?

    thanks

rip those two dimms out and get ram that it either pc3200 or pc2700, both have to be 1GB
