    hi

I have just installed a new firewire card (1394) on my pentium 4, windows xp PC.

I wanted to connect this to the front firewire port I have on my PC. I have located the cable running from this inside my pc and attempted to connect it to my card but it does not work.

The card has a 4 pin connector output and the cable from my pc has a 5 pins connector and a 4 pin connector, I have tried to connect it with this 4 pin but it does not work. Do i need an adapter of some sort?

    Please can anyone help

    thanks
