is there a way to tell the what firmware a itouch has while i'm standing at best buy holding the box? the reason i ask is theres not any wi-fi spots near me so id like to run the jailbreak hack while i'm out, but how can i find the firmware without hooking it up to a pc?
if ipod touch is like any other ipod by clicking on about this ipod in the ipod menu, will show you what firmware is on it. usually comes out of the box with 1.1.1 and onces you connected to the pc the most recent firmware will be install, i think is 1.1.3 im not sure.
