    There seems to be 2 updates i.e. TheBoxPVR_v3105_08Dec2008.bin and The Box PVR 081208 FIX.rar

    Is there a difference, which one should I use?

    Is is worth doing this update at the moment?
    My box works pretty well at present. all be it having to enter c*d*s every other day , which only takes a minute.

    Just after reading peoples comments about the update it seems to bring other glitches onto the box.

    nicnac, its entireley up to you, the fix does fix the problem(hence the name fix) but it has also created a few glitches that you might not be happy with. Im sure the chaps will iron them out asap.

    most of the adjustments on the new fix are handy but it does have major drawbacks, u loss the sound on ur previous recordings, u have to format the harddrive to get the record function back, which means u lose ur recordings anyway and u cant turn the box off or onto standby without doing a fullrescan sfter startup
