First PC Build, would like comments, suggestions, etc...

    Yea. The Spinpoint 1T drive has three platters. 330GB each I believe. The benchmarks for that were significantly better than many 4 platter and 5 platter drives.

    No doubt. WDs are good, and have a better reputation, but they have been in the HD business for way longer than samsung. I'm just saying the spinpoints are very good as well.

    I have a Hitachi 7200Rpm, and well they are supposed to be shitty, but mine is quiet and fast, for having no RAID setup. I would have gotten something else, but the Hitachis just had a good price at the time. Its also my OS drive and not my storage drive.

    I think Hitachis are fine when they work, but used to suffer reliability issues, and let's face it, all the other issues are meaningless compared to that one.
