first timer burning an ISO and an MDS

I'm following this guide --> http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=1780 <-- provided by LOCOENG.

I'm having a problem right off the bat. When I try to "Press the calculator to make sure your project will fit on Dual Layer media." like it says in the guide i get two popups. I have no idea what the popups mean. the two popus appear in the following order:

Just a thought but is your HDD formated in Fat32 or NTFS?

 

i have absolutely no idea what that means lol, sorry.

i'll figure it out asap

 

my HDD is formatted in NTFS

i bought a pack of verbatim DL+R and i'm still having the same problem at the calculator step

do i need to extract the iso to properly follow this guide?
