I take it you have 2 scart connections on your TV (EXT 1 , EXT 2)

Try changing it to EXT 1 , turn the b0x off and turn it back on

See if you can see or hear anything

I could be wrong but I think your b0x is ok now as you have channels installed and you can hear them

Where abouts are you located ?

Sorry I gotta go to bed now i will check back tomorrow when I log on and if I cant come up with any more solutions , I will get Scouser to help us out as he is the main man and knows all the ins and outs lol

Cheers Celtic, I appreiciate it man.

    I'm located in Tallaght.

I have 2 scart connection on my tv but always the top one worked and nothing from the bottom one. And it's same now, sound from the top socket and nothing from bottom.

I'll pack it in for the night myself and mess about again tomorrow so yeah if ur online tomorrow at any stage it would be great :)

    Thanks again :D

EDIT: Maybe it's a bad channel dump as it's from last week but I doubt it.. maybe I 'll have a goo for a good one tomorrow and check it out...

    Anyway thanks again :)

Hi guy's.. firstly yes I'm sure it was the right firmware, I made that mistake the first time.

BIG news update on this... The Damn thing is WORKING!! :)

A big thanks to you guy's for the dig out and especially Celtic for all the info cause without that the box would still be of no use.

I put it on again this morning and it was bugging me I could hear the sound and no pic.. I checked cabled a 100 times... so I re-flashed again and then I couldn't even hear the sound... Cut a long story short I did wheat that guide said to do.. I had the file in the rom loader and clicked download the same time as turning the box on and it done that factory reset again.... Then I re-flashed straight away and put on a channel dump and to my "disbileve" when I set it up I got "Scrambled or bad channel". So I could actually see the screen.
I did a factory reset... the new upto date codes were still saved, I thought by updating the firmware and the factory reset that everything would be default but It don't matter cause as soon as I did the auto scan It found 175 programes, all the programmes :)

So basically that's it, it's working perfect now and just needs a good channel dump which I'll do with the channel editor in awhile.

I'm still not 100% sure how this happened and was "fixed" in the end. Must have been the wrong firmware flash but it took lots a re-flashes to fix...

Anyway all I can say is thanks guy's I really appreiciate it :)

    Thanks Celtic.

It was crazy, the kids were running wild this morning and as soon as it's back there is a little bit of peace and quiet in the house lol.

    Thanks again :)

What is the latest version of firmware
I have a 1st gen box with v4 firmware on it but it keeps freezing every 10 mins only for a second or 2 and you still get sound???
I was going to do a reset and reflash with latest firmware what do you think??????
