flashing ( I will resist the obvious)

    hello all (first post)

    Ive got eurovox Max (and assuming I got 2006 firmware still ongoing as i bought it in jul/aug 2006) Im ok with inputting and waiting out the key changes, because of all the invaluable help ive had here

    but will I need to do the firmware flash once this malarkey is over and done with(next 8ish days?) to stop this key changing happening?
    just checking as I want to get ahead of any cables, knowledge etc
