Formating with DVDRW

    i want to format C: and i downloaded xp sp3 but atm i dont have cd-r (700mb) so i burned sp3 in dvdrw but my pc is not recignizing.

    i formated till now with sp2 using 700mb disc.....this is 1st time that i put in dvdrw so i wanna now if i can format using dvdrw or it just have to be 700mb disc

    Hey Liks,

    It could be possible that your drive is a CD writer and not a
    Dvd writer. Depending on how old your PC is. Most newer ones
    are DVD burners\writers. Older ones are mostly CD. So that could be why it didn't work. Look on the burner to see for sure
    though.

    easy enough to go to your computer store and get an xp disc.cost about free to 10 dollars here.use your key with the cd and voila.
