Found a strange coin.

I found this coin it has Arabic/hebreic(could be Chinese?) writing on it I can put up a pic right now but its like a penny and has a lion o it holding a sword the other side looks to be like a heart symbol, anyone got a clue as to what it is?
its 1.5MB and pretty large put a nickle and dime with it as well and no I only have 2 but I took a pic of both sides.

I'm no coin expert,but i've never seen that before either.

Hope someone recognizes it as i too am curious.

Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a laundromat coin from China.

I did a quick check of some foreign coins I had laying around, and they all have some sort of demonination on them. I did a quick google search too, and most current coins have denominations on them.

 

ya but dose it have to be in English words or numbers?

mmm..well its old or its a fake, the press lines on the outer edge are definitely manual pressed not high powered presses...not sure.

 

Appears to be Persian or Arabic. The pic of the 3rd coin seems to have Arabic numbers on the lower half

 

It's an Iraqi coin from just before WW2. I think.. memory is poor.. that one is 5 Rials.

Glad you got it figured out, though i admit, i wasn't much help, except for possibly incurring Creaky's laughter.

Man i found hell of allot of money generating stuff, get you a good Metal detector a small combat shovel, and go to the beach i found so much jewelry, although i did fined what was left of a Colt 38 Six- Shooter, it was way to damaged to repair. it had a well made octagon barrel and it was a smooth bore, by what i could tell, the inside of it was pitted when we finally got all the rust off.

in any case you should try it, you might look dorky but hey its free money.
