If the phone still has service then go to the contacts list. go to the very top and it will show the phone number of the phone. Call apple and tell them the number of the phone and that you have it. They could find the owner so you can return it. Or give them the serial number of the phone. Don't be a douce.

You could also look in recent calls and speak with the person whom they call most often...unless you are going to be a douche and keep someone's iphone.

I hope the phone thief has been caught .. 15 days silence seems to suggest they realised that asking how to hide and carry on using their stolen property wasn't a great idea.

More likely they realized that they misjudged this community.

Just because we can mod, jailbreak and unlock our own property doesn't necessarily mean that we are criminals or have any tolerance for criminal activity.

With all due respect to you guys, you lot are bunch of retards! Note retard is real English word unlike "douce"!

If you are spastic enough to lose a £400 phone then you should be man enough to accept the consequences. Ever heard of the saying "finder’s keepers, loser’s weepers"...... Stating I am a criminal is a pathetic joke. If I mugged an old lady for it, granted, but i never!

Bing - brainwave......... Let’s just hand it back over........ Funniest thing i have heard all year.

Is jailbreaking a phone legal? Please can someone answer the question? A bit like the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me!

Merry new year guys and thanks for your help

    Jailbreaking is not illegal,
the things that 99% of jailbreakers thereafter do IS illegal.

anybody who thinks we are not criminals is a retard.

nonetheless, there should be some honour amongst thieves.

If the original owner was indeed 'spastic' enough to intentionally lose his phone then he doesn't deserve to keep it,

but how about you contact him first just to make sure.

    Kind Regards,
    Mubs.
