Hi thanks I downloaded it and saved it and i tried to open it and I dont know what I did something said extract all i then got a messages saying do I want to repace everything and then I x ed out and it extracted something. and what ever I touched i dont understand do you maybe have another one with exact directions how to install and use I am computer dumb ema
Hi I am still on ie6 I have 2 computers one was given to me because it had a phoney windows and the other is a real windows So I dont think I can get ie7 on the phoney one so I didnt do it on both Ema
Once unzipped you should have a newly created folder,put that folder into either your all programs list or (admin folder or system tools or make a folder called utility or whatever),then just click on the .exe to use it,it's a non install software it runs directly from the folder. EDIT: To place folder into all progs list RIGHT click on START button & open it,either drop the folder into the folder PROGRAMS,or open the programs folder & drop it into any of the subs.Now you can access it from the all programs list like normal,you can also drag it into any other folder from here too if you decide to put it into another folder,that includes all other folders if your progs list menu is getting huge To automate unzipping of zip files i use this,it will automatically create the folder for you & place it in the same area as the zip you just opened,once installed just double left clik on the zip or if you have many then just right click & open http://www.pkware.com/download-software/free-unzip
never ear of a phoney windows before where can i get a copy..lol.. Edit: If your still on IE6 when was the last time you updated your OS,Use windows update icon then when on the website ignore the "install SP3", instead hit the review other updates & get them all by hitting the custom button (if you want to install SP3 the best way is to download the iso & burn it to cd & install from that)however i take no responsibility if sp3 borks your comp,by rights the issues for should be solved by now

If you want IE7 use the windows update,the icon is in your start menu,hit the start button look for a blue orb if it's not there move mouse over the ALL PROGRAMS,it should be near the top directly above the ACCCESSORIES,then just follow instructions in the post just above yours #11 last paragraph = below the never ear comment i made PINS does'nt install,it runs directly from the folder,use the link in post #9 to get the unzipper & install pkzip it will make things less of a headache for me..haha
I never could get an update on the phoney windows so I dont have any updates for a few years or ever and I dont have xp3 On my real computer I have been getting all the updates but they never offered me the 3 so I dont have it and I dont have ie7 On the pins after I downloaded it i opened the file and there was a lot of things to press but i still cant figure out how to put a thing in it.
If you use auto update it will only download security updates plus a few other ones,unfortunatley there's a stack of others that have to be downloaded manually by using the windows update icon ok so you've got a stack of files from PINS,put em all in a folder,then clik on the icon that has the image of two keys,ones turquoise the other gray,thats the executeible & starts the program & opens the window Did'nt realise it was merik,i've been using his screen capture utility for a while now,anyway a direct link to merik's website http://www.mirekw.com/winfreeware/pins.html
