I*m back again. Does anyone know of a good "FREE" reg cleaner that includes really "FREE" fixes/repair as part of the program? I tried 6 of them tonight. All require $s to repair. Range of FOUND items were 80 to 880. From what I can glean from this experience is that my issue with my erratic behavior of my IE7 is due to a missing dll file. There are now only 2 "NOT FOUND" error boxes instead of 3. Solutions please.
Lot's of freebies around, Tune Up Utilities has a free version and is highly recommended for all its tools (much more than a Registry Cleaner-daily clean up, start up manager, optimizer and more): http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/downloads/2231665/tuneup-utilities-2007 RegSeeker is another but very aggressive, only select the green item's (be careful, same in jv16 registry scan, it can be configured to only find green item's) after it scan's unless you use an image program. The last free version of jv16 seem's good and there are other's here too: http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/index.html Alway's make sure backup is checked but don't rely on it. Other's like CCleaner, Advanced SystemCare: http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html I've been using the first 3 for year's as well as CCleaner lately, what one doesn't get, the other does. I doubt jv16 will work on Vista, RegSeeker won't I don't think.
moved to correct forum as not a windows issue. i use ccleaner, easy cleaner v2 & free registry repair v1.5.
