I am running a Mercury DVD drive on my Win 98 PC. I have been able to watch DVDs fine for mounths...now, however I cant. After ten minutes every DVD i have freezes. I have tryed a veriaty of Player progs but the samething keeps happening, same with reboot. THough the picture freezes the sound continues, It works fine and i can skip chapters, ect but the picture remains frozen.

I downloaded a package of Codecs for DivX recently, nothing else could have afected it.

Is it the Codecs, i tryed an uninstall but then none of my player progs worked! Anybody got any ideas????

    Thanx,
    Ross

    1. how fast is your processor? does it have mmx?
    2. what is your video card? how much video memory?
    3. do you have a DVD decoder card such as RealMagic?
    4. do you have a screen saver or any power options that time out after 10 minutes? if so, disable them.
